The City of Logan has much to offer businesses seeking a place to relocate or expand. Logan boasts a highly educated workforce, beautiful scenery, a high standard of living, and lots of open space. Logan is the home to Utah State University. Consequently the workforce in this area is highly educated. Logan is also is the home of the Bridgerland Applied Technology Center, which provides technical training for local residents.
In the Beginning
It all began in 1998. The Economic Development Department was created out of a need for effective management of economic development in the City of Logan. A committee was formed.
Currently
The Committee consists of a broad spectrum of people: the Economic Development Analyst, the Mayor, two City Council members, the Public Works Director, the Light and Power Director, the Community Development Director, the Finance Director, a member of the Legal Department, the Cache Chamber of Commerce President/CEO, and the Bear River Association of Governments (BRAG) Economic Development Director.
