The Environmental Department provides mosquito abatement for the Logan City area. The mosquito program samples for larva, sets traps for adult mosquitoes, and tests for diseases in the mosquito population to ensure better health quality in the Logan community. As part of a continuing effort to protect Logan City residents against West Nile Virus, please be aware that the Logan City Environmental Department will begin spraying for mosquitoes within the Logan City limits beginning June 2, 2009. Spraying will occur in the evening hours when mosquitoes are the most active. If you would like to be placed on a list to be notified of spraying in your area call the Environmental Department at 716-9758.
Logan City uses the chemical Kontrol 4-4 and will be spraying in the following areas:
Along and West of 1000 West from the airport to HWY 89 and the Logan River Golf Course. |

East of 1000 West to Main Street and from 2500 North to Blackhawk and Country Manor (1200 S). |
