RATE SCHEDULE #2
ALL ELECTRIC RESIDENTIAL SERVICE
EFFECTIVE DATE: July 1, 2007
AVAILABILITY:
At any point on the City’s interconnected system where there are facilities of adequate capacity.
APPLICATION:
This schedule is for alternating current electric service at approximately 120 or 240 volts through one Kilowatt-hour meter at a single point of delivery for all residential purposes to individual private dwellings and individually metered apartments, when the customer regularly uses electric energy for all residential service requirements, including but not limited to lighting, cooking, appliance operation, water heating, laundry and drying, air conditioning and the heating of all dwelling space in the home.
This schedule is only available when the heating installation conforms to the specifications for space heating below.
Where a portion of dwelling is used regularly for business, professional or other gainful purposes, the premises will be classified as non-residential and the appropriate schedule applied. However, if the wiring is so arranged that the service for residential purposes can be metered separately, this schedule will be applied to such service. This schedule is not applicable to seasonal service.
CUSTOMER SERVICE CHARGE:
Not applicable at present
Minimum Billing:
$3.50 for single phase service.
$10.50 for three phase service.
ENERGY RATE:
$0.0873 per kWh for the first 400 kWh.
$0.1069 per kWh for the next 600 kWh
$0.1198 per kWh for all additional kWhs.
SPECIFICATIONS FOR SPACE HEATING:
Permanently installed electric heating equipment shall be the only source of comfort heating. All space heating equipment and the installation thereof shall conform to the city’s requirement, with the voltage therefore designated by the company for the services required. Heating units shall be controlled by approved thermostatic devices. The maximum wattage for any heating unit or the wattage of any group of such units controlled by the single thermostat, all of which may be energized at the same time, shall not exceed 5 kW.
SEASONAL SERVICE:
This schedule is not available as a seasonal service.

CONNECTION FEE:
Refer to the current Logan City Light and Power Fees Schedule for current pricing information pertaining to fees, service charges and re-read fees.
FORCE MAJEURE:
Neither the City nor Customer shall be subject to any liability or damages due to the inability of the City to serve the Customer’s load due to lack of available power and energy or other conditions beyond the City's control. In the event of natural disasters or acts of God such as earthquakes, floods, or severe storms, neither party shall be liable for damages due to lack of ability for operations which affect the other party economically. Should any of the foregoing occur, the minimum billing demands that would otherwise be applicable under this Schedule shall be waived and Customer will have no liability for service charges until such time as Customer is reasonably able to resume service.
