Welcome to the Logan City Police Department’s web site. We appreciate your interest, and encourage you to visit us here often as we update the page frequently. The department is continuously advancing the use of technology in order to provide the most up-to-date information to enable us to be efficient and effective. Technology, however, can never replace the value of you, the citizens, sharing information with your local law enforcement officers.
Logan is a great community in northern Utah nestled in a high alpine valley at around 4775 feet. We have a population of around 50,000 with a service population of nearly 90,000. Home to Utah State University, Logan is the Cache County seat and the Logan City Police Department remains committed to public safety and crime prevention, crime reduction and enforcement. The men and women of the LCPD have made our area one of the safest in the country. Our department offers a wide scope of programs and services usually found only in the larger metropolitan areas. We constantly strive to find innovative ways to work with individuals, organizations, and businesses in the goal to make Logan a better place to live. We hope this electronic gateway gives you insight into our police department and information you can use. Police and the citizens must work together to identify, prioritize, and solve community concerns. Working together we are best able to make lasting improvements in our quality of life. We will be relentless in our efforts to identify and arrest criminals, and we must also be actively involved in helping our citizens develop long-term solutions to their community problems.
The overall objective of the LCPD is to provide peace and safety to every person in Logan. The accomplishment of this objective takes place as partnerships between the community and police are formed, maintained and expanded. The needs and perceptions of these partnerships become the focus of police resources as we work together to improve and enhance the quality of life in Logan City.
